In a settlement, Carnival agreed to implement several specific data security safeguards, including a comprehensive information security program and incident response and data breach notification plan to provide additional protections for consumers. Ten months later, Carnival provided notice to more than 100,000 consumers nationwide whose personal information was found in the compromised email accounts, including more than 3,000 Colorado residents. In an apparent business email compromise attack, the intruders compromised 124 Carnival employee email accounts. In late May 2019, Carnival learned that an employee email address was used to spam other company email accounts. “Businesses need to be vigilant to protect the personal information of their customers and employees from the actions of hackers and others intent on stealing that information,” Weiser said. “At a certain point, they are advertising to the world that they are an easy target and can look forward to more frequent and serious attacks,” Bambenek said.COLORADO SPRINGS - A cruise-based travel agency, will pay more than $24,700 to the state of Colorado in a $1.25 million multistate settlement after a 2019 data breach compromised the personal information of 3,037 Colorado residents.Īttorney General Phil Weiser announced that Carnival also agreed to implement additional data security safeguards to protect consumers’ information in the future. John Bambenek, threat intelligence adviser at Netenrich, pointed out that the fact that Carnival has been hit three times in the past several months means the company needs to ask some serious questions on what it’s doing to protect its sensitive information. “These types of attacks are often started through email phishing attacks, so organizations that wish to avoid the same issues as Carnival would be wise to invest in high-quality email filtering and an employee training program focused on spotting email phishing attacks and proper password hygiene.” “Most large cruises, by their very nature, tend to visit ports in foreign countries, so they must collect sensitive information to be used for customs preparation and other purposes related to the travel,” Kron said. Kron added that based on the type of data and the sheer volume it collects, it’s not a surprise they were attacked Carnival captures some very valuable data to attackers. Cruise operator Carnival Corp said on Thursday it had detected unauthorized access to its computer systems in March, after which it alerted regulators and hired a cybersecurity firm to. Just as cruise lines are starting to book trips after a long shutdown because of COVID-19, Carnival faces yet another cybersecurity issue, said Erich Kron, security awareness advocate at KnowBe4. The company operates many of the leading cruise lines, including Carnival Cruise Line and Princess Cruises. The news raised some eyebrows, because Carnival has been hit by multiple cyberattacks since 2019, including a ransomware incident last summer. Interestingly, the letter from Carnival said there was a “low likelihood” of the data being misused. The data accessed included names, addresses, phone numbers, passport numbers, dates of birth, health information, and, in some limited instances, additional personal information like social security or national identification numbers.Īccording to Carnival, the impacted information includes “data routinely collected during the guest experience and travel booking process or through the course of employment or providing services to the company, including COVID or other safety testing.” In a data breach notification letter sent to affected customers, Carnival said that on March 19 it detected that an unauthorized third-party had access to a limited number of email accounts. Carnival Corporation – which has been plagued by cyberattacks over the past few years – issued a breach disclosure on Thursday confirming hackers attacked email accounts and gained access to data about its customers and employees.

Patients with well-developed collateral circulation may not develop OIS in spite of total occlusion of the internal carotid artery. OIS occurs mostly in patients with poor collateral circulation between the internal and external carotid arteries or between the two internal carotid arteries. Rarely, the occlusion of the ophthalmic artery is responsible for OIS. It has been estimated that such stenosis reduces the perfusion pressure within the central retinal artery by approximately 50%. In 50% of the cases, the affected artery is completely obstructed. In patients with OIS, a stenosis of 90% or more of the common or internal carotid arteries on the same side is usually found. In this paper we discuss the clinical findings and diagnostic and therapeutic options of ocular ischemic syndrome. It was observed that the signs of ischemia are present in both the anterior and the posterior segments of the eye, and eventually the term ocular ischemic syndrome has been coined for the sum of ocular symptoms and signs that may accompany carotid artery occlusive disease. In the following years, many other terms were introduced to describe ocular changes secondary to carotid artery stenosis, such as ischemic ocular inflammation, ischemic coagulopathy and ischemic ophthalmopathy. They named the condition venous stasis retinopathy and found it in 5% of their patients with unilateral stenosis or occlusion of the internal carotid artery. In the same year, Kearnst and Hollenhorst reported ocular symptoms and signs in association with advanced carotid artery stenosis. He associated these findings with retinal hypoxia due to carotid artery stenosis. In 1963, Hedges described a case of a 48-year-old patient with complete obstruction of the left internal carotid artery on whose eye fundus he observed peripheral blot hemorrhages and dilated retinal veins. Atherosclerosis is the major cause of changes in the carotid arteries. Ocular ischemic syndrome is a rare condition, which is caused by ocular hypoperfusion due to stenosis or occlusion of the common or internal carotid arteries. Since the condition does not affect the eyes alone, patients with ocular ischemic syndrome should be referred for consultation to the neurologist, vascular surgeon and cardiologist. The treatment can be local, for example, ocular (conservative, laser and surgical) or systemic (conservative and surgical treatment of the carotid artery). Carotid artery imaging and fundus fluorescein angiography help to establish the diagnosis of ocular ischemic syndrome. Differential diagnosis of ocular ischemic syndrome includes diabetic retinopathy and moderate central retinal vein occlusion. Posterior eye segment changes are the most characteristic, such as narrowed retinal arteries, perifoveal telangiectasias, dilated retinal veins, mid-peripheral retinal hemorrhages, microaneurysms, neovascularization at the optic disk and in the retina, a cherry-red spot, cotton-wool spots, vitreous hemorrhage and normal-tension glaucoma. Anterior segment signs include iris neovascularization and secondary neovascular glaucoma, iridocyclitis, asymmetric cataract, iris atrophy and sluggish reaction to light. Ocular ischemic syndrome is manifested as visual loss, orbital pain and, frequently, changes of the visual field, and various anterior and posterior segment signs. Notably, the Halo Scythe has the second-shortest range in its class, just barely beating the Winged Scythe (again). The Halo Scythe has a middling weight for Reapers at 8.5 pounds. The base scaling is both D in Strength and Dexterity and E in Faith, making the Halo Scythe marginally more useful in the late-game than the Winged Scythe. The Strength requirement is 13, the Dexterity requirement is 16, and the Faith requirement is 15, making this Reaper more accessible than the Winged Scythe. Much like the Winged Scythe, the Halo Scythe is also an effective Faith-boosted Reaper with a unique Weapon Skill. The Holy damage is an added bonus for Faith builds, but the relatively high Faith requirement does not make this suitable for non-Faith builds by extension, bosses in the late game tend to have resistance to Holy damage, making this weapon less viable in boss fights as time goes on. Like all Reapers, the Scythe has a Passive bleed buildup of 55 and can bypass a minimum of 40% of negated damage from blocks. This Skill is excellent for several weaker enemies and even closing the gap in PvP since it can be interrupted fairly easily, Angel’s Wings is not ideal for some boss fights, however. The Winged Scythe has a unique Weapon Skill, Angel’s Wings, whereby the Tarnished slashes upwards to set up a broad-reaching lunge. RELATED: Elden Ring: Best Faith Scaling Weapons As such, the Winged Scythe can be found very early on and has a great capacity to remain viable throughout much of the game. The Winged Scythe is found in the chest inside the Tombsward Ruins, located on the Weeping Peninsula. Notably, the Winged Scythe can also inflict the most damage out of any Reaper, but unfortunately has the shortest range in its class. Just like the Scythe, the Winged Scythe is also the lightest Reaper at 7.5 pounds. The base scaling is both E in Strength and D in both Dexterity and Faith. The Strength and Dexterity requirements are both 16 and the Faith requirement is 24, making this Reaper highly suited for Faith-boosted melee builds. Unlike the Scythe and Grave Scythe, the Winged Scythe is among the two holy-looking, Faith-boosted Reapers. Although a solid and versatile weapon for the early game, the Scythe lacks any particular strengths or viability in the late portions of the game. Spinning Strikes, Spinning Weapon, etc) this Reaper can inflict bleed damage instantaneously. Notably, the Grave Scythe has an excellent base AR (attack rate) which can stack bleed buildup quite quickly when coupled with the base Ash of War, Spinning Strike, or similar Ashes of War (i.e. The Grave Scythe is also versatile, as it can be infused with Ashes of War and the damage scaling can be increased according to player preference. RELATED: Elden Ring: Best Powerstance Weapon Combinations Since this Reaper can be farmed, the Grave Scythe can be used two-handed or by using two in a power stance. The Grave Scythe is a possible drop from Skeleton Mages, which are found in Liurnia and Caelid. The Grave Scythe also has the second-longest range of the Reaper class, but it is not far behind the Scythe. This is the heaviest Reaper, weighing 9.5 pounds as such, this weapon may be appealing to low-level builds or builds with low Endurance. The base scaling is both D in Strength and Dexterity. The Strength requirement is 17 and the Dexterity requirement is 13, making this the only Reaper to have Strength be the highest requirement. The Grave Scythe is essentially the Scythe with some slight bonuses to consider. The base Ash of War, Spinning Strike, twirls the Scythe two times in a circle before landing a top-down strike where the player is facing. The Scythe is fairly versatile, as it can be infused with Ashes of War and the damage scaling can be increased according to player preference. The Scythe can be found in Liurnia, tucked away in the Cliffbottom Catacombs. Incidentally, the Scythe also has the longest range of the Reaper class, but only to a marginal extent. This is the lightest Reaper, weighing only 7.5 pounds as such, this weapon may be appealing to low-level builds or builds with low Endurance. The base scaling is E in Strength and C in Dexterity. Both the Strength and Dexterity requirements to wield this Reaper are 14. The Scythe is aesthetically and functionally the “default” Reaper. 7/29/2023 0 Comments Excel print selection one pageOnce the Page Setup command is selected, the Page Setup dialog box appears, where we make sure the Page tab is activated as shown below. 7/28/2023 0 Comments Dominos rules possibleThe PlayĪs in most domino connecting games, the tiles are played to form a line in which the touching ends of adjacent tiles have matching numbers. The remaining 15 tiles remain face down and are not used during the round.Īny player who draws 5 or more doubles can show them before the play begins, in which case the tiles must be thrown in and mixed again, and the players draw new hands. To make cheating more difficult the tradition is that the last person who touched the pieces during mixing should also be the last to take their tiles. Each player in turn then draws ten tiles and places them on their rack so that the other players cannot see the faces of the tiles. The tiles are thoroughly mixed face down on the table: the process is known as 'darle agua' which suggests that it is like stirring water. In subsequent deals a member of the team that won the previous round plays first in the next round. They decide between themselves which player should begin. The Dealīefore the first deal, to decide who should play first in the first round, one player from each team chooses a tile at random, and the team of the player who drew the tile with more spots has the right to play first. Usually each player has a rack on which they keep their tiles until they are played. The direction of play is counter-clockwise. It is played by four people, in two partnerships, partners sitting opposite. The game uses a double nine domino set of 55 tiles ( fichas). Aguas Calcines (Alexandria publishing house, Miami, 2017). The player who won plays first.Domino games are played with great enthusiasm in Cuba, most often using a double nine set of 55 tiles. The first person (or partnership) to score this amount wins the game. The score of 250 points is usually considered a game. In partnership play the spots of the partner of the one who “DOMINOED” are not counted.īlocking the Game: If in the course of the game it is impossible for any of the players to play, the game is “Blocked.” The player (or partners) having the least spots in his (or their combined) hand(s) scores the total of the spots in the opponents’ hands (rounded to the nearest five). The sum of the spots of all opposing players is computed and added to the dominoing player’s score (rounded to the nearest five). Dominoing occurs when one player goes out by playing all of his dominoes. All other doubles are played at right angles to the line and the total points on both ends are counted. All sides of the first double (the spinner) may be used one piece to each side and later one to each end. If the dots on the exposed ends total any multiple of five the player is awarded that number of points. Object of the game: Scoring points by laying the dominoes end to end (the touching ends must match: i.e., one’s touch one’s, two’s touch two’s, etc.). The remaining dominoes (the boneyard), if any, are left face down on the table to be drawn later if a player is unable to play from his hand.īegin Play: The player who drew the highest double or the highest domino plays first, playing any domino he wishes from his had. Re-shuffle and then begin drawing the first hand.ĭrawing: Each player then draws seven dominoes for his hand. The player drawing the highest double or if no double, the highest domino plays first. The Shuffle: To begin the dominoes are placed face down and “shuffled.” Players draw one domino.
